About Your Guides
Leona & Rod Beisel
We are a husband and wife team that has travelled for over 30 years and has visited over 48 countries.
On our travels we like to experience the culture, try new cuisines, visit local wineries, and meet local people. Truly getting the full experience of that country.
In Istanbul, we had mid-day tea with a local Turkish family that shared their traditions with us and talked about the art of Turkish rug making.
In Morocco, we drove into the Sarah Desert with a local Morrocain to experience camping under the stars sharing food, while sitting around a campfire telling stories under the stars. He talked about how he had never left the desert in his entire life, and how he would use the stars as his compass.
